From being a part of the team that built the first Pentium processors at Intel to building a successful Telecom brand BPL Mobile, Rajeev Chandrasekhar has made a distinguishing mark in every endeavour. He founded Jupiter Capital in 2005 with a vision to foray into Greenfield businesses. In 3 years, he has expanded the company's periphery to include new and successful ventures.

Chandrasekhar founded BPL Mobile and was one of the first investors in the early 90's to develop India's first and largest green field telecom infrastructure. BPL Mobile had invested and built a world-class telecom infrastructure in the metro of Mumbai and the states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa and Pondicherry, which laid the foundation for the Telecom revolution in India. Rajeev Chandrasekhar is widely recognized for his significant role in the development of the now successful telecom sector. BPL Mobile which later merged with Essar-Hutch (now Vodafone) was benchmarked the largest ever M&A in the country, with a valuation of over 1.2 billion US dollars.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar has received the Alumnus Award from the prestigious Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. He was honoured with the Global Service Award, which recognizes a graduate whose extraordinary achievements have helped strengthen the Institute's reputation on an international scale.

- Immediate Past President, FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry)
- Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Telecom & IT
- Member of Consultative Committee on Urban development
- Convener- ABIDe Task Force - An initiative of the Karnataka Government to build a Better Bengaluru
